Obituary of Catherine M. Green

LeRoy ~ Catherine M. Green, age 96, formerly of St. Augustine, FL, passed away early this morning (Friday, Jan. 3, 2014) at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home. Mrs. Green was born December 15, 1917 in LeRoy, a daughter of the late Charles and Florence Gross Blood. She will be remembered for her artistic abilities, working with stained glass, water colors, sewing and wood working. She was a member of the Homemaker Club and the German Club. She also loved to attend the flea markets. Mrs. Green is survived by her children, Karen (Robert) Faulkner of Bergen, Charles (Margaret) Green of Minoa and Robert (MaryAnn) Green of Edgerton, KS, her sister, Jane Kerby of Dover, DE, 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest "Chubby" Green, a daughter and son-in-law, Ann Marie (Mary) and Richard Keenan, a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Sandra Green, and 3 siblings, Francis Blood, Virginia Lyttle and Raymond Blood. Family and friends are invited to attend her Rite of Christian Burial on Monday, Jan. 6 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Parish (St. Peter's Church), 44 Lake Street, LeRoy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an organization of the donor's choice.
