I was so sorry to hear of Grace's passing. She will always hold a special place in my heart...so many memories! As a small child she was my first Sunday School teacher. Of course I learned to follow directions from her during summer recreation and helped her make Kool-Aid for everyone. She taught me how to sew in 4-H and later developed my skills in high school. I remember a cooking demonstration in high school where she was teaching us how to light a gas stove and the stove flared up and singed her eyebrows! She handled it like the professional she was. During retirement she and my Mom walked together daily. One day 2 dogs escaped from their yard and attacked Mom and Grace. These 2 farm girls fought them off but needed medical attention. I will always remember Grace's kindness and steadfast faith. What a wonderful example for all who knew her. Sue Meier Magnano

Karl and all of the Leanen family Sympathy to all in the loss of "Grandma Grace". Although we never met Grace in person, we know we would have been very fond of her. Karl, just observing your smile and enthusiasm as you spoke of your grandmother, it was evident how special she was to you and the family. You two definitely had a bond together and although your heart aches, rest assured that you were there for your grandmother as much as she was for you over the years. May she "rest in peace".
