I started working for Karl ar The Ganson Inn shortly after he had opened his restaurant in 1985. We went to the Ganson for dinner one night and had a wonderful time! Karl came out and spoke to us for awhile. After finding out that I had a culinary background, he offered me a position as his evening chef. That was the beginning of a long friendship that has lasted all these years. He was a great person with a heart of gold! I will truly miss him, his laughter, and his antics! My deepest sympathy to his family. With much gratitude in having the pleasure of knowing Karl, sincerely, Terry Buss

Dear Debbie and Rachael my heart is breaking for the both of you. I am tremendously saddened for your loss.. Karl was a super nice guy who will truly be missed by everyone. So glad I had the opportunity to meet him years ago and to enjoy his culinary skills at the Ganson. Everyone at the casino misses him and sends their condolences. May his loving memories live in your hearts forever and help you get through this difficult time.❤️

Karl was the best guy ever. He was always upbeat and happy. He treated Sue and me like superstars. He bought us dinners and drinks and let us play whatever style of music we were into at that time. He always had good things to say about everyone. He never talked smack. We will miss Karl very much and will always think of him with love and fond memories. May God rest his soul! Doc and Sue

We met Karl many years ago after we purchased his old property on Main Road, Stafford where he once had The Ganson Rose. Such a wonderful man with a cheerful smile & personality. He first came into the machine shop & from then on, we were friends. We frequented Ganson Equipment & The Ganson House Restaurant. What a marvelous Chef! Our daughter, Peyton, was little & he took quite a shine to her. He would post her drawings in his kitchen at the restaurant, always fussing over her & her brother. He spoke a lot of his beautiful daughter, Rachel as well. Every time I ran into Karl, he had a big smile & a story for me. Our hearts are broken, but we know he's in a better place now. We will miss him dearly. Our loving sympathy to Debbie, Rachel, & his entire Family. May He Rest in Peace. I'm sure God has him cooking up something good for the Angels. Love, The Johns Family-Kathy, Bob, Nash, & Peyton

My favorite memory of my brother Karl is when him, myself and Debbie are at Batavia Downs sitting next to each other in the high rollers room having a ball!
