Smitty was a frequent flyer in my dad's law office due to his work with the Vic Blood Foundation and his many Executor appointments. He stayed in touch after dad's passing. He hosted a meet and greet at the American Legion several summers ago and sadly shared it was his last trip to LeRoy due to his illness. The cards and phone calls eventually stopped. I missed hearing from him but continued to send him cards. Surely the sadness of that day in the telling of his last trip will be lifted next month on his final trip to LeRoy and reunion with Margaret. Deepest sympathy to all the family Sheila Graney Logsdon

Smitty and Margaret were always a part of the graduation parties that we had for my daughters, Lori, Lisa and Jennifer. They were both exceptional people and Smitty was one to always show his kindness and we loved the stories and his fantastic smile. I am so very sorry for this sadness, but oh, so happy that we knew them both. Sending love to their wonderful family and very special condolances. Joan Miller

I am so sorry to read of Smitty's passing. I managed the Anchor Savings Bank in LeRoy next to Vic Blood's and made friends with Vic and Smitty. Two of the great men of LeRoy. My husband belonged to the Batavia JC's and I believe he and Smitty were both NYS JCI Senators. It's hard to believe he was 92. I latter became a manager for The Bank of Castile in LeRoy eventually starting the Batavia Office. My husband and I own Sterling Tent and Awning in Batavia.
