To Rose, Mark, William, and Scott,
My sincere condolences on your loss. Dave and I were very close friends in our teen years. I often stayed overnite at his house on Munson St. He was very knowledgeable about the arts and classic movies which we'd watch until the wee hours. Dave and I were the only LeRoyans that I knew who regularly visited NYC. I witnessed a classic moment when Father Sierra asked Dave if he wanted to join the CYO (Catholic Youth Organization). He wasn't trying to convert Dave to being a Catholic but it was simply a token of good will. We went to the Worlds Fair in New York probably in the summer of 65 and we roomed together. We went to see Dave's Uncle Sid who ran the Port Authority and got free tickets to the fair. In the last few years I heard from Dave and he said it would be great if we could just walk around LeRoy together one more time. I was going to contact him as this may be the year, but it was not to be.....I wish all of you the best and Dave will always have a special place in my memory.
