Betty brightened the kitchen and bakery area of the D & R Depot for many years. Her chicken pot pie tops, her muffins, cookies, pies, and especially her baking powder biscuits!! But I appreciated also her smiles, her ability to 'roll with the punches' in a demanding kitchen atmosphere. Betty and I worked together at the Red Osier, and when I opened the Depot she was the first one to come down from her nearby apartment and say "I want to work for you." And she did!! - for years and years and years.
We st8ll use Betty's baking powder biscuit recipe.
Thank you, Betty. We miss you.
