Obituary of Louise L. Sovocool

LeRoy ~ Louise L. Sovocool, age 74, of Asbury Road, passed away at home unexpectedly on Friday, July 3, 2015. She was born May 3, 1941 in Volney, N.Y., a daughter of the late Oron and Sarah Huntington Rowlee. Louise will be remembered as a very caring person who was very active member in a number of local groups including the LeRoy United Methodist Church, the Genesee Valley Chapter of MOAA, and the Covington Daylighters. She was retired after many years as a kindergarten teacher at West Genesee Central School District in Camillus NY. Louise was a master gardener, and loved baking and doing crafts including quilting. She is survived by her son, Mark S. Friske of Campbell; her brothers, Delos (Betty) Rowlee of Oswego and Charles Rowlee of Old Forge; her canine companion and best friend, Simon, along with many dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands, Roger J. Friske and Wilbur J. Sovocool. Louise's memorial service will be held on Monday, July 13 at 11:00 A.M. at the LeRoy United Methodist Church, 10 Trigon Park, LeRoy, N.Y. 14482.
