Pavilion ~ Howard E. Wellman, age 67, of Boyd Road, passed away early Monday morning (October 19, 2015) at Highland Hospital in Rochester. He was born July 25, 1948 in Warsaw, a son of Betty A. Wellman and the late Lewis Wellman. Mr. Wellman was retired from Harris RF Communications. He was a longtime member of the Pavilion United Methodist Church, served as Covington Town Justice and as a member of the Pavilion School Board. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Sally Bryce Wellman; his children, Jayson Wellman of Rochester, Aaron Wellman of Corfu, Amy (Tristan) Jones of N.J., and Heather (Curtis) Bennion of N.C.; seven grandchildren; his sisters, Deborah (James) Starr of Pavilion, Lucinda (Randolph) Starr of Pavilion and Ann (Duane) Stehlar of Alden; brother-in-law, William (Ernestine) Bryce of Pavilion, along with many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday, October 21 at 2:00 P.M. at the Pavilion United Methodist Church. Interment in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, York, will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to either Visiting Nurse Services-Hospice, 2180 Empire Blvd., Webster, NY 14580 or Pavilion Food Pantry, PO Box 456, Pavilion, NY 14525.
