Obituary of Gary W. Heimlich

Bergen ~ Gary W. Heimlich, age 76, of W. Bergen Road, passed away suddenly on Monday (February 29, 2016) at Strong Memorial Hospital. Mr. Heimlich was born January 17, 1940 in Batavia, a son of the late Ensign “Jack” and Shirley Pixley Heimlich. He will be best remembered as a man who loved all sports, especially those of his alma mater, Syracuse University and LeRoy High School, where he followed his granddaughters’ sporting events. He also loved to play golf whenever he had the opportunity. He is survived by his wife, Susan Greene Heimlich; his sons, Jason (Crystal) Heimlich of Bergen and Jeffrey Heimlich of Bergen; his granddaughters, Kayla and Lindsay, along with two nieces, and many cousins and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Jody Heimlich, his stepmother, Lois Heimlich, his stepfather, Jacob Farrah and his brother, Richard Heimlich. Per Gary’s wishes, services and interment will be at the convenience of his family.
