Obituary of Ross C. Anzalone

LeRoy ~ Ross C. Anzalone, age 93, formerly of Gilbert Street, passed away Tuesday afternoon (March 15, 2016) at the Batavia Health Care Center. He was born March 27, 1922 in LeRoy, a son of the late Frank and Carrie Tribonella Anzalone. Mr. Anzalone was a devoted family man, who loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He was also a veteran of WW II. He is survived by his six children, Ross (Annie) Anzalone Jr. of NV, Gayle Smith of LeRoy, Judy (Alan) Jacques of Caledonia, Lisa (Larry) Williams of N. Chili, Rita Logsdon-Galasso of LeRoy and Rick (Joyce) Anzalone of Batavia; his sister, Josephine Saraceni of Batavia; his sisters-in-law, Barbara (Richard) Keene of Poughkeepsie, Dolores Schultz of Batavia and Gloria Dennany of Rochester; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Lenore Dennany Anzalone in 1995 and 4 siblings. Family and friends are invited to attend his Rite of Christian Burial on Friday at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter’s Church, 44 Lake St., LeRoy. Entombment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Parish, 44 Lake St., LeRoy, N.Y. 14482.
