Obituary of James E. Harrington

Stafford ~ James E. Harrington, age 66, passed away after a brave battle with cancer at his home on Saturday afternoon (Sept. 3, 2016). He was born May 20, 1950 in Rochester, a son of the late Harold and Viola MacKenzie Harrington. Jim was an avid hunter and also enjoyed fishing. He was a retiree of the Chestnut Ridge Elementary School in Chili after providing 44 years of dedicated service. He was also a loving husband, father and a very proud grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 44 years, Katherine DeWolf Harrington; his children, Kelli (Andy) Micoli of Rochester, James E. Harrington II of Stafford and Jonathon (Jing) Harrington of N. Chili; grandson, Henry; step-granddaughter, Ava; brothers, Harold (June) Harrington of Byron, Fred (Agnes) Harrington of Hilton and Kenny (Rose) Harrington of Hilton; uncle, Donald (Bev) MacKenzie of Hilton, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Harrington. Per Mr. Harrington’s request, a private service will be held. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
