LeRoy ~ Clayton D. Dimick, age 88, of Madison Avenue, passed away Thursday morning (March 15, 2018) at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia.
He was born March 19, 1929 in Batavia, a son of the late Clayton and Evelyn Stokes Dimick.
Clayton was a loving husband and father, who was devoted to his faith. He was a long time member of the LeRoy United Methodist Church, where he was very active. He helped to renovate the church and was a board trustee. He was also an active Mason for 50+ years of the Olive Branch Lodge #39, which he also helped renovate. Clayton was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a longtime member of the Oatka Fish and Game Club, a veteran of the U.S Army and a retiree of LeRoy Machine after 41 years of service.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Lois Schramm Dimick; his daughter, Terri Campbell of Medina, OH; his sisters-in-law, Diane Dimick of Stafford, Sylvia Dimick of LeRoy and Shirley Dimick of LeRoy, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Papp Fuller; brothers, Rodney, Richard and William and his son-in-law, William Campbell.
Family and friends may call on Monday from 4 ~ 7 P.M. at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road, LeRoy. His Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at the LeRoy United Methodist Church, 10 Trigon Park, LeRoy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to either the LeRoy United Methodist Church or the Masonic Lodge/Order of the Eastern Star, 12 Bank Street, LeRoy, NY 14482.
