LeRoy ~ Earl Horn Jr., age 96, of St. Mark's Street, passed away early Monday morning (June 18, 2018) at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home.
He was born January 10, 1922 in Buffalo, N.Y., a son of the late Earl and Bernice Hubbard Horn.
Earl taught Industrial Arts for 33 years at Pavilion Central School prior to his retirement in 1977. He was an avid skeet and trap shooter, who loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of the Five Point Rod & Gun Club, the NRA and the Genesee County Fish & Game Protective Association. He also taught the NYS Hunter Safety course for many years.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary Ann (Russell) Lathan of LeRoy; grandchildren, Bridget (Mike) Massing, Deborah (Don) O'Geen, R.J. Lathan (Katie MacPherson) and Kathleen (Paul) Mangefrida; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jena and Julia Massing, Anna and Leah O'Geen, Bryce, Luke and Jax Lathan, Isabella and Madalynn Condidorio; a sister, Ruth (Joseph) Salvador, along with many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Welsh Horn in 2006 and his sister, Dorothy (Russell) Longley.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4 ~ 7 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Church, 44 Lake St., LeRoy, with interment to follow in St. Francis Cemetery.
