LeRoy / Lime Rock ~ Murl J. Mancuso, age 91, of East Main Road, passed away early Saturday morning (September 8, 2018) at home in the loving presence of his family.
He was born February 19, 1927 in LeRoy, a son of the late Anthony and Esther Rigoni Mancuso.
Murl will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather, who enjoyed working around his home and shop, tinkering and building things. He also enjoyed flying planes and he was one of the last original owners of Woody Acres. He was also a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jean Lang Mancuso; daughter, Linda Mancuso of LeRoy; son, John (Debbie) Mancuso of LeRoy; granddaughters, Johnna (Josh) Porter and Jessica Mancuso (Julie Mecklenburg); great-granddaughters, Joselyn and Jazmyne, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his son, Michael Mancuso, his brother, Dr. Edwin (Joan) Mancuso and his sister, Elizabeth (George) Pursel.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4 ~ 7 P.M. at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy. His Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Church, 44 Lake St., LeRoy. Interment with military honors will immediately follow in St. Francis Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to either Home Care & Hospice or Wilmot Cancer Institute.
