Obituary of Barbara J. O'Grady

Bergen ~ Barbara J. O'Grady, age 83, of Lake Road, passed away early Monday morning (July 29, 2019) at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home.

     She was born December 19, 1935 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Sidney and Ruth Sheridan Maher.

     Barb was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who enjoyed baking, country music, doing word searches and sitting on her porch.

     She is survived by her children, John O’Grady (Amy Donoghue), Elizabeth (Michael) Lovett, Brian O’Grady, Daniel O’Grady and Rebecca O’Grady; grandchildren, Kristine (Kasey) Weinert, Danielle Lovett, Kathleen (Glenn) McKeever, Kimberly Lovett, Lindsey Lovett, Michelle Lovett and Kyle O’Grady; great-grandson, Henry Weinert; sisters, Geraldine Lichti and Donna (Robert) Powers, brother-in-law, James Ireland, along with many nieces and nephews.

     She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent J. O’Grady in 2009, along with her siblings, Gladys Hill, Robert Maher, Norman Maher, Jane Ryan and Marlene Ireland.

     The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of Barbara’s care providers at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home.

     Family and friends may call on Monday, Aug. 5 from 4 ~ 8 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Rd. (Rt. 19), LeRoy.  Her Rite of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 6 at 10:00 AM at St. Brigids Church, 18 Gibson St., Bergen, with interment to follow in St. Francis Cemetery, LeRoy.
