Obituary of David Steffenella

LeRoy ~ David Steffenella, age 62, of South Street, passed away Thursday morning (January 30, 2020) at United Memorial Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born December 12, 1957 in Batavia, a son of Angelo Steffenella and the late Nancy Cassiano Steffenella.
David will be remembered as a very loving, caring, giving and patient man, who always put the needs of others before his own. He was always there to provide help to anyone that needed it. His ability as a mechanic surpassed most and if something was broken, he enjoyed the opportunity and challenge to repair it. He worked at the New York State Police Troop A barracks in Batavia as one of their trusted mechanics for 13 years.
He will be sadly missed by his loving and devoted wife, Kristine Platek Steffenella; his father, Angelo Steffenella; his step-children, Tina (Joe) Carubia, Tiffani (Andy) Carson and Jim (Michelle) Burns; his siblings, Mary (Bruce) Platek, Michael (Donna) Steffenella, Sam (Brenda) Steffenella and Rosalie Steffenella; 6 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren, along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, dear friends and his very special canine companion, Chloe.
He was predeceased by his mother, Nancy in 2018.
At David's request, there will be no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Church, 44 Lake St., LeRoy.
