Obituary of Marna J. Twichell

Pavilion ~ Marna J. Twichell, age 94, passed away early Wednesday morning (December 23, 2020) at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home.

     She was born August 8, 1926 at home in Chili, N.Y., a daughter of the late William and Clara Daugherty Voke.

     Marna was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend to many.  She enjoyed bowling, golf, playing cards and doing needlepoint.

     She will be sadly missed by her children, David Twichell of Batavia, Nancy Elliott of Pavilion and Brian (Anne Ngu) Twichell of Texas; grandchildren, Eric (Belle) Elliott, Elizabeth Twichell, Joshua Pedraza (Anna) and Nicole (Otis) Thomas; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter, along with many nieces and nephews.

     She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Robert L. Twichell, sisters, Alta (Leonard) Sherman and Joan (Donald) Jacobs, son-in-law, Brian Elliott and grandson, Timothy Evan Robert Backes.

     A public memorial service will be announced at a later date.  Interment in the Pavilion Cemetery will be private.

     Marna's family wish to acknowledge and thank the staff of the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home for their compassion and wonderful care of their mother and grandmother during her stay there.

     Contributions in memory of Marna are suggested to the Sunshine Fund at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home, 10 Munson St., LeRoy, NY 14482
