Obituary of Louis Hamilton Crocker

Louis Hamilton Crocker, of LeRoy, NY, passed away on July 5th, 2022.
He was born in LeRoy, NY to the late Clarence and Harriet (Hamilton) Crocker on October 27, 1934.
Louie graduated from LeRoy Central School in 1952. He went on to earn a B.S. degree in Agricultural Education from Cornell University in 1956.
Louie taught one year of Vocational Agriculture in Avoca before he served six months of active duty (1957) in the NG and Army Reserve followed by 5 years of active reserve. Upon
his return from active duty, he joined his father and his two brothers, James and Judd in the family businesses.
In September of 1960, Louie married Ann Voss from Short Tract, NY and they enjoyed almost 60 years of marriage before her passing in 2020. Louie was part owner/operator of Crockers’ Farm Service and Crockers’ Hardware Store up until his retirement in 1996. He also was elected and served 16 years as a LeRoy Town Councilman.
He was a long-time member of Stone Church Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed his volunteer work for the church as well as playing golf with family or his Wednesday group.
Louie will be missed by his sons, Eric and Dean; daughter- in- laws, Laura and Jill; granddaughters, Lauren Ashley, Emily and Amanda; great grandsons, Hudson and Camden. He was a brother to the late James Crocker, Judd Crocker, Suzanne Kolmetz and Zoe Thompson.
Following Louie’s request, there will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to his Memorial Service to be held on Friday, July 15th at 4 PM at Stone Church Presbyterian Church. Private burial will take place at Machpelah Cemetary in LeRoy.
