LeRoy ~ Maridee J. O'Geen, age 83, of Maple Avenue, passed away Tuesday evening (Sept. 20, 2022) at Strong Memorial Hospital in the loving presence of her family.

     She was born January 3, 1939 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Cosmo and Dorothe Lake Battaglia.

     Maridee will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, who spent over 30 years as a local nurse, caring for many families.  She was a 1957 graduate of Notre Dame High School.  She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends.

     She is survived by her children, Chuck O’Geen Jr. and Carol O’Geen both of LeRoy; her sisters, Patricia (Norb) Becker of Batavia and Kathleen (Bruce) Manuel of Venice Center, NY; her loving and devoted canine companion, “Hawke”, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.  She was predeceased by her husband, Charles P. “Red” O’Geen in 2006.

     Family and friends may call on Sunday, Sept. 25 from 4 ~ 7 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake St. Rd., LeRoy.  Her Rite of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Sept. 26 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter’s Church, 44 Lake St., LeRoy.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to either LeRoy Ambulance Service or Notre Dame High School.
