Obituary of Angela M. Filio

LeRoy ~ Angela M. “Angie” Filio, age 82, of West Main Street, passed away early Tuesday morning (October 25, 2022) at Highland Hospital in Rochester.

     She was born May 29, 1940 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Samuel and Mary DeLella Mirando.

     Angie loved to spend time with her grandchildren, read, watch TV and work on her puzzlebook.  She can also be remembered as the very cordial and friendly cashier at Rite Aid.

     She is survived by her daughters, Laurie (Brian) Pocock, Christine (Joel) Cornell and Gina (Timothy) Kingdon; grandchildren, Ami Cornell, Sydney Cornell, Benjamin Pocock, Andrew Pocock and Zachary Pocock; brothers, Joseph (Ellen) Mirando and Richard (Donna) Mirando, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

     She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel L. Filio in 1992 and her brother, Frank (Kathy) Mirando.

     Family and friends may call on Sunday, Oct. 30 from 2 ~ 6 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake St. Rd. (Rt. 19), LeRoy.  Her Rite of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Oct. 31 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter’s Church, 44 Lake St., LeRoy.  Interment will follow in St. Francis Cemetery.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Wilmot Cancer Center.
