Shelby, NC ~ Phillip N. Godbout, age 61, entered into eternal rest on Sept. 3, 2014 at the Wendover Hospice Facility with his loving family at his side.
He was born October 22, 1952, a son of the late Normand W. and Betty J. Nessel Godbout.
He is survived by his loving sister, Susan J. (Kevin) Dowd of LeRoy.
Phillip exemplified the utmost strength and courage during his 27 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Don't judge a book by its cover, because the contributions he made to his "community" were inspiring as well as humbling.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County at Wendover, Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
