LeRoy/Bergen ~ Mr. William B. Scott, Jr., age 82, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017 of lymphoma at Crossroads Hospice Care Home in Batavia.  He was born May 15, 1935, the only son of William B. Scott, Sr. and Maralee Stedman Scott.
     He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joan Cleveland Scott of LeRoy/Bergen, sons William B. Scott III and Matthew B. Scott of Batavia, NY; and David W. Scott of Fairport, NY; daughter Suzanne Scott of Chicago, IL; and grandchildren Nathan J. Scott and Julia R. Scott of Fairport, NY; and Brandon Scott of Darien Center, NY.  Mr. Scott is also survived by extended family across the greater Rochester and Watertown/Sackets Harbor areas.
     Bill “Scotty” Scott grew up in Forestport, NY; started his family in Utica, NY where all four children were born; and, settled finally in LeRoy, NY.  He held a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University, and served in the ROTC and US Army Reserve Signal Corps.  During his career, he worked with General Electric, Sylvania GTE, Transmation, and ultimately retired from Eastman Kodak.
     Husband, Dad, Grampa, Uncle, and In-Law - he will be sadly missed by both his family and friends.
     Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Memorials and Donations in remembrance of William B. Scott, Jr. can be made directly to Crossroads House, who for 17 years has compassionately aided and supported a vast number of families during the end-of-life transition.
